Is chocolate gluten-free?

Pure chocolate is naturally gluten-free — cacao, sugar, and cocoa butter contain no gluten. In our catalog, 1,750 of 2,128 bars are flagged gluten-free. The risk comes from inclusions (cookie pieces, malt, some wafers) and shared production lines, which is why some bars carry 'gluten traces' allergen notes.

If you're celiac rather than gluten-sensitive, look for explicit gluten-free labeling instead of relying on the ingredient list alone; every profile in our library surfaces both the allergen notes and the dietary flags recorded for that bar.
